As shocking as it may seem, this is in fact my first ever beauty post. I don’t know why I haven’t done much of these recently because if you know me then you know how intensely I love makeup. There is something amazing to be said about the fact that there is almost an endless variety of colors we can mix and match. On the top of that, the fact that we can create this on our face is simply outstanding. If I am being completely honest here as much as I love some good eyeshadow palettes, I tend to not use them very often. Most of the time its because I don’t have the time but I also have fairly small eyes so there’s a limited amount of stuff I can actually do. However this still hasn’t stopped me from buying them.
With that being said, I thought I would formally kick off the beauty section of this blog with my top five eyeshadow palettes. Even though I have some individual eyeshadows laying around somewhere, these are some of my favorite eyeshadow palettes. I will include links to where you can purchase them alongside my personal opinion down below. So let’s get started!
If you have this you know I’m not lying when I say this palette is worth it just for the smell. In case you were wondering, yes this smells like peach. And yes I like to just smell this all day. Besides the fact that this smells like the perfect summer day, I included this palette for two reasons.
The first reason is because on someone with a tan complexion I appreciate the fact that it suits my skin. A lot of times these particular colors simply won’t look good on my skin or will come out completely faded. In part I believe this is due to my second reason; this palette is fairly well pigmented. What disappoints me the most in eyeshadow palettes is that they need to be applied ten times to even show. I did not find that to be a problem here as they applied very easily. And also it smells like peaches.
Tarte Bon Voyage Set- Tarte Eyeshadow Palettes
Before I begin I should point out a few things about this palette. This is an old palette that is not sold anymore and was part of a collection. Because this can’t be sold anymore I am just going to talk about the overall Tarte eyeshadows based on this palette.
One of my favorite parts about this palette is that it is perfect for a smoky eye look. Looking at the newer versions, I believe this is still the same. Like the previous palette mentioned, this one is one of the most pigmented that I have tried. My favorite part is that all of Tarte’s palettes are a collection. This means they all can easily work with each other on a look.
This beauty I just bought during Sephora’s VIB sale and it is a good one. I bought this one because I am lacking lighter hues in my collection but they do have several other palettes under this collection. With a total of seven different palettes, I am sure you can find something that you like.
Focusing in on the spotlight palette, this is one of my favorite purchases lately. The colors are so pigmented yet they are light and perfect for spring/summer looks. I recently used this one during a shoot and I was so happy that it was such a beautiful pink shade. Like I said earlier, I tend to stay away from pinks because they don’t always fit my shade but this one is definitely a recommend for all skin complexions. All the colors in the palette can be worn with each other making it super easy to come up with a combination. Apart from the great quality, the price is low considering how well it works. I would definitely take a peek at this and other shades while the price is low.
I could easily mention all three naked palettes here but I will include just my favorite one. The Naked 3 palette does an amazing job of including shimmers and mattes in similar shades. Although not all of them are very pigmented in my opinion, these are some of the few shimmers that I use. For those of you who are afraid of the glitter ones, they are very subtle and aren’t overpowering. This palette is perfect if you are looking for a more formal look but don’t want a super dark look.
Lorac Pro Eyeshadow Palette
Onto the final palette of the list, the first of the collection for Lorac Pro Eyeshadow. This one is another eyeshadow palette that mixes in shimmers and mattes together in 16 total eyeshadows. My favorite part here is the colors in general. These shades are perfect for those of you who are looking for some darker and lighter hues in one palette. Here you can find lighter shimmers and mattes as well as dark shimmers and mattes. All of these colors are incredibly fierce and pretty good on pigmentation. The quality of these shadows are incredibly good and some of the best I have found.
Now that was a hard one. Choosing only five of these palettes is the equivalent of choosing a favorite song. But either way, be sure to let me know if you have any favorites not listed above. I would love to know more eyeshadow palettes I can spend my money on. As well let me know if you agree with any of these choices! #PaletteBuddies.
