For Day 3 of Blogmas, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite new pieces for this winter! Most of these items were purchased during Black Friday and I am in love! Exact links and suggestions for this look will be on the bottom of this post.
Getting straight to the look, by far my favorite piece here would be the white fuzzy top from Forever 21. I got this item for $15 and I believe it is still on sale. I love a white textured top because it plays onto that ‘winter wonderland’ theme but adds a bit of funk to it. Considering that the lowest in Los Angeles is probably on average 70 degrees, I opted for a cropped top but you can go ahead and use a full length jumper as well.
Since winter calls for layering, I decided to pair my white top with this patterned blazer. This exact blazer I bough quite some time ago, but I’ll leave you suggestions on the bottom of this post. I went for this blazer because it I liked the idea of pairing something very soft with a more structured piece. This winter be sure to use layering as an opportunity to mix and match different styles together. I also went for an oversized blazer since the top was cropped, I thought it would play with each other better. Both the white top and the blazer were finished off with a regular pair of jeans.
Lastly, a girl can’t live without her shoes! I was so excited to pick these up since I’ve always wanted to get a pair of over-the-knee boots. If you haven’t noticed, I am a petite girl (and proud!) so otk boots were a hard decision for me. If you’re petite as well make sure to try them on and you might find yourself pleasantly surprised. One thing I would recommend petite girls is to go ahead and try on boots that have a cinched top or a way to tie them up. This makes sure that the top portion of the boot is flapping around and hugs your legs even better. I love these Madden Girl boots because they fit just over the knee but don’t swallow my legs.
That’s it for this small breakdown of my first winter look for blogmas! Be sure to stick around to more I have planned for the season. My suggestions to achieve a similar look would be: a soft colored jumper/top with texture, mix and match layering pieces, and take a small risk. Hope you guys liked this look and these pieces! Be sure to check out some suggestions and the exact links to these pieces down below! Until next time!
